Excuse my excuses

Wednesday, December 22nd, 2004 (3 years, 11 months ago)

I seem to be a lot less productive whenever my girlfriend is around, which might explain the absence of posts the past few days. It’s just like whenever we get lost on the road– It’s not my fault.

Hey, be a man!

Image of shirtsI recently bought some new shirts (you can see a small version of each shirt’s print in the image to the right). I’m slowly moving towards buying shirts that actually have something on it, rather than having five hundred one-color shirts in various shades of blue– or if I feel like being crazy: some stripes.

The first three shirts, I got from Threadless. The design names are (in order from top to bottom): “Death by music”, “Shadow bunny”, and “Choice” (I think all the designs I got are sold out, but you can request a reprint or look around to see if you like any of their other shirts). The fourth shirt, I got from RapMusic, and it has the logo for the rapper, tonedeff.

My girlfriend had some things to say about guys wearing shirts that have pictures of little girls on them, but I’m fairly secure in my masculinity– even though it was kind of weird that it was my own girlfriend telling me about it…

I have to say, I’m liking the idea of wearing shirts that people can’t easily buy from their local shop.

I thought that maybe within a year, the way I dress might have changed drastically, but looking at the last four shirts I bought, they’re all still shades of blue, grey, and khaki… So I guess I haven’t changed all that much.

Slightly off topic: I’ve updated the about page with new pictures and some updated information. I’d like to provide more details about what sort of information has been updated, but I haven’t changed anything, yet. That’s right, I’m writing this post before I actually do any of the work. But, you can view the two newly added pictures right now:

Note: If the second picture is mysteriously taken off the website within the next few hours, it’s because my girlfriend woke up and put a gun to my head. Also, in addition to rocking a tonedeff shirt in the first picture, which has a nice QN5 logo on the left sleeve, I’m also rocking a manly non-smile for picture purposes.

We hope you enjoy the show… Run that shit, biatch

Four months between posts is quite a while, but I’m back. I’ve had this design ready ever since my last post and it was (the first design) done on my Apple PowerBook.

In addition to the new front-end (design) of Online Fame, the website also has a new back-end (which I know most of you don’t care about, but I felt it should be said, anyway): I’ve dropped MovableType in favor of WordPress.

I also went through my post archive and sorted the posts (as best I could) into some categories. I’m not sure if I’ll keep the categories how they are or whether I’ll remove, add, or merge some, but this is how it is for now.

There’s still some small things I have to take care of, but if you run into any problems that you want me to know about, contact me.

Hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia?

Monday, April 26th, 2004 (4 years, 6 months ago)

Behind the scenes: I keep a small list of things I want to eventually write about on this website, but I only write down a little note that sums up the whole post. Sometimes the note is a short phrase or a paragraph and sometimes it’s just one word.

So I was skimming through it this morning and read this: Hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia. And that’s all I wrote…

It’s probably been a month or two since I wrote that word down in my notes, so I kind of forgot what I was going to write that involved hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia, but you can be sure it would have been a damn good post.

Now I’ll just sit back while people go and look up the word…

Business busyness

Sunday, September 21st, 2003 (5 years, 1 month ago)

The reason for my lack of posting recently is because I’m working and when I’m not working, I’m talking to my girlfriend or trying to read a page or two from Diary by Chuck Palahniuk.

It’s not so much that I can’t find five minutes a day to post something, it’s that I’m concentrating on so many things at once that I don’t let random thoughts into my head. Which leaves me with nothing of interest to post about.

But here’s one that accidentally got through today: I wish I was born earlier. And I feel bad for the kids who are to be born in the year 3000 or something. I bet they’ll have to carry around a history book the size of a… very big history book.

And we’re even more detailed with our documentation now. At least the cave man had nothing, but a couple of pictures drawn on walls.
