Much obliged

It’s a rule for ‘blogging: It’s mandatory that you write a Happy New Years post. The same goes for Christmas and other major holidays. Usually for the first day of the year you have to write some sort of New Year’s Resolution post or Year in Review post. Well the only resolutions I care about are 800×600 and up. And nothing’s changed this year except for everything that changed because of my girlfriend (who I’ll be celebrating our first anniversary with in two days).
But still… There must be a post on January 1st or I’ll be banned from the ‘blogging community, my website will be hacked and my keyboard will be burned to a crisp. It’s a rule.
I really don’t like celebrating or feeling different because it’s a certain date. I didn’t do anything special for Thanksgiving dinner or Christmas dinner or New Year’s Eve. And I avoid talking to most people on my birthday. I want to celebrate because there’s something worth celebrating— not just because everyone else is celebrating because someone else celebrated on a certain date many years ago.
Now if you don’t mind me ending this post, I must go out and find people who didn’t post and ban them from the ‘blogging community, hack their websites and burn their keyboards to a crisp. It’s a rule.
