My girlfriend spent the weekend and we had some legitimate fun (proof/”all I need in this life of sin”: me and my girlfriend).
Anyway, she brought her laptop and had AOL Instant Messenger running. I don’t spend that much time chatting anymore, but I’ve always had my sounds turned off on all instant message programs. So I heard the sound of someone signing off (which is someone shutting the door) and thought that they should implement another optional sound for when someone signs off: The door slam.
I remember a time when people used to be able to yell at someone and then slam the phone down. Now we have cordless and cellular phones where you just can’t get the same effect. Let us go back to our roots of ending heated conversations with a slamming noise. Give us the door slamming sound!
Scenario: “I slept with your man/woman, bitch!” followed by, WARN, WARN, WARN and ending with, DOOR SLAM.
So if you’re reading this and you just happen to be a developer for any instant messaging program… Give us the damn door slam sound!
